Several
things have been completed since the last update. The
Girling shocks have been painted semi-gloss black and
mounted. The A-Arms have been reassembled with some
replacement parts. (rubbers and damaged equipment)
Several components were powder coated and reassembled to the
chassis
such as the leaf springs with all new rubbers and hardware,
the stiffener brackets, the radiator mounting brackets to
name just a few. The rear end was
disassembled, cleaned, fitted with new bearings and checked
for factory specifications. Final cleaning and paint
to housing still await before mounting. Several Items
are still ongoing such as the rack and pinion which is
almost complete and the front steering arms. Other
items finished are the brake drums, backing plates, coil
spring set, and several other small items.

The rack and pinion rebuild is complete. The rack is
installed on the chassis. Pictures above shown with
and without the radiator mounting bracket between the chassis rails. Special thanks to
my dad for rebuilding the rack for me. For Christmas my wife bought me a
new steering wheel and center cap to replace the original
rotten wheel!
April 26, 2005 The
rear end is cleaned, painted and mounted.
The backing plates and hubs are pieced together with the hubs,
and the wheels are put into place.

Finally the front suspension is complete and the car is on all
four wheels.
The brake system is in place only awaiting the brake pedal for
completion.
May 23, 2005
The brake and clutch pedals have been installed.
One of the two Stay tube assemblys are in place.
October 18, 2006 Driveshaft
prepared for painting
November 25, 2006 Driveshaft
universal joints replaced.
The driveshaft is painted and bolted into place. The
stainless steel exhaust system in place.
The fuel tank has been boiled out and awaits further cleaning.
February 3, 2013 TD stencil added to the rear end
housing. I copied the stencil to a few strips of masking
tape so the stencil would stick to the rear end housing.
Sealing the stencil on the edges kept any issues with
overspray from the spray can. A big thanks to George
Raham for providing the stencil.
